How do you update to iOS7 on an iPod touch 4?

My iPod touch has updated without problem since 2011. Now it does not see iOS7. iTune doesn't see it either. How can I update it?

iPod touch (4th generation), iOS 6.1.4

You can not. iOS 6.1.3 is the highest possible.

As posted on Apples website since early June, only the ipod touch 5th gen is compatible with ios 7.

All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB

There is nothing you can do! . . . If you want iOS7, you must purchase iPod Touch (5th generation).
