Hello dwaynebishop,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

For more information on this, take a look at:

iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections

  1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
  2. Restart your iOS device.
  3. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
  4. Tap User uploaded file and Forget this Network.
  5. Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
  6. Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2.
  7. Update your device to the latest version of software.
  8. Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.

Best of luck,

Mario

I appreciate that you might not be an Apple employee, however, would you be able to find out if they are making any progress with fixing this bug? It would go a long way if they could at least put out an update to their customers!

We have two Ipad2's and we are now at the stage where we have no more than a 50/50 expectation that one of them will connect to our Router. We had no such problem at all before we upgraded to IOS 7. We have had about 2 months of this problem now.

A friend came to our house with a different brand of tablet recently and had no problems at all.

I have an IPhone that is still on 6.1.3 and I have no problem with that. I also have no trouble connecting my Kindle when I want to download a book.

We have tried every single suggestion seen on these forums, but they either do not work at all or, obviously, are only temporary or "single-session" solutions.

I concur with Undercover, 100%.

I have the same problem with my iPad Mini. Ever since updating to iOS 7 it will drop the wifi signal at random times and the only temporary fix (works for a while but not longer than an hour) is to bring up command center and turn the wifi off, then back on. It doesn't last and you have to keep doing it, but at least it makes the iPad usable again.

I just wish Apple would've waited to release iOS 7. I don't care if they didn't release a new software update with the iPhone 5S, I'd rather have a working mostly bug-free software than this rushed product. Granted it is nice and eventually and hopefully the bugs will get worked out, it's still annoying.

I have same problem I have iphone 5 which has full signal and ipad 2 doesn't catch the signal this is very annoying if I go near the router then I get 1 stick signal showing weak signal and come back to the room then the signal disappears

I did speed test got 2mb the same test before ios7 was 33mb

So what has changed ?? Why the signal is as good as dead ,

I tried at airport lounge the ipad couldn't connect at all but iphone 5 connected

I tried resetting etc but nothing seems to be working

Never had problems with apple products but they are beginning to get annoying and iTunes 11 is a complete retard new look now I am forced to download it as it will not work with iTunes 10
