I lost my iphone 4s last march 2013. Im trying to find using icloud but the answer is i did not registered in icloud. I have another chances and way to locate my phone like using the serial number indicated in the box?

iOS devices cannot be located from the serial number.

Without Find My iPhone installed via iCloud, try contacting local authorities.
