Q: exclamation marks

transferred itunes library from windows to my mac 2 years ago and all was fine - synced all songs etc but recently upgraded to iphone5s and pretty much entire library now as the exclamation marks!completely stumped as to why and would appreciate any possibly answers.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.2
