downgrade from mac lion to snow leopard?

I'm currently using mac Lion, I'm having several software issues not allowing me to install Final Cut Studio for example. All I want to do is complete a full installation of snow leopard. I've tried installing from disk and it wont allow me to do that. Is there anyone that can help me out?

Restart with the disk in the drive and the C key held down and install it onto a blank partition or drive. If needed, use the Disk Utility in the Utilities menu to erase or repartition the internal drive.

Repartitioning a drive with Boot Camp set up may disable it.
