Q: iMac calendar on iCloud

The calendars on my iMac are not on iCloud now since I have installed iOS 7.  I set up the phone to sync the calendar from the cloud and now I have nothing on the phone.

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.2

Did you check icloud.com to see if your calendar appears there?

Yes.  It doesn't.  All is well on the iMAc... Nothing on the cloud.  I have "Work" and "Home" Calendars, names I have never used on my calendars.

Are you running OS X Lion (10.7.2) or higher on your Mac, and if so, is it signed into your iCloud account in System Preferences>iCloud with Calendars checked?

Yes. 10.8.5. And it is signed in with Calendars checked.

If Calendars is checked in System Preferences but your calendars don't appear on icloud.com, create a precautionary backup of the calendar(s) on your Mac by opening Calendar, click on each of your calendars on the left sidebar (if you don't see them, click Calendars on the top left), then go to File>Export>Export and save it to your desktop.  Once your calendars are backed up, go to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Calendars, choose Delete from Mac when prompted, then restart your Mac, then go back to System Preferences>iCloud and check Calendars again.  (If prompted, choose Merge with iCloud.)  Then check icloud.com again to see if your calendars are there now.

This is crazy...  I backed up the five calendars that I actually use. (I have a bunch of BS calendars that just appeared at one time or another) I unchecked calendars and they disappeared from iCal.  I imported them and then checked the Calendars box in iCloud preferences, and it did something... I don't know what it did.  Then I went to iCloud.com and nothing was there except for the (useless to me) "Work" and "Home" calendars.  Then when I went back to iCal, EVERYTHING was there: the five I backed up and restored along with ALL the other BS calendars.  Nothing has changed.

If you selected iCloud when you imported the and the still aren't in iCloud the you'll need to go to System Preferences>iCloud, click Sign Out, choose Delete at all of the prompts (your data will still be in iCloud), then restart your Mac and sign back into your iCloud account.  If you get a merge prompt for Calendars when you check it, see if your calendars appear on iCloud.com now.  If not, you will need to create empty calendars with the same names in iCloud, then import your backups again, choosing to import them to the corresponding empty calendar in iCloud and see if the appear in  iCloud now.
