I have a box copy of iWorks '08, and I cannot find the serial number on it. I purchased it many many years ago, and am only installing it now, but it says I need a serial number. I have looked EVERYWHERE, but there is nothing. Where can i find it?

If the boxed version of iWork '08 required an activation number, that number was included either in of on the box.
If you downloaded a trial version of the software, that would have required purchase of a licence to convert it from the Tril version to a licenced version. For iWork '09, then was the only time a serial/licence/activation number was needed. I'm not certain the same applied to '08.
If it did, you will need to completely remove the iWork '08 applications AND their supporting files before (re)installing from the boxed set disk.

The serial number for iWork '08 is on a sticker (there are two removable stickers on this sticker) on a separate thin booklet titled "Installing iWork '08." In the iWork '08 box is the CD, the iWork '08 book, a card with four software coupons & the thin installing booklet.
