I can't open itunes on my iphone 5.

I have this same issue. However, when I select itunes and App store in the settings menu nothing happens. The category is highlighted but the phone will not enter this portion of the menu.

What do I do? My phone has the latest software update.

Assuming it's not a restriction,

Close the iTunes app by pressing the Home button twice, and swiping them up.

Then go to Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data

Sign out and in using Settings > iTunes & App Store

I have the same problem. This came about after the iSO 7.0.2 update but yet on my iPad mini I can open iTunes store.

Same here, my wife's iPhone 5 after the update 7.0.2 can't open the iTunes, I resetted the network and cleared cookies, nothing worked...

now I'll try "mabaeyens" advice...

Nope... still didn't work.

This update is making lots of people VERY mad.

F*** apple! I'm tired of not being able to open iTunes on my phone and purchasing things. I also learned the "task bar" that slides up and you control your music also doesn't work; so basically you can't have phone locked to skips songs. And when Bluetooth linked with my car, it won't allow my car controls to move it either! AND!!! When I purchase items on my iPad mini, (hoped I found a way around it it it's syncs purchases) it won't sync over wifi. So f*** apple!

I have had the same problem as above. Frustrating I know, I tried the above process which failed. The ext step was to check my update had successfully completed loading in settings and updates. My update had paused and needed completing. I hope this helps.

4. That you have an active Internet connection. For help with your connection, check your device's user guide.
5. To see if other devices, like portable computers, can connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
6. To reset your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.
