Q: "Airplay error" when streaming video to TV

I don't have an Apple TV and since upgrading my iPad neither netflix or NBC will stream via my tv hookup. Both give me an "airplay" error. I've been using an HDMI cable plugged into a lightning adapter that previously worked fine. Is anyone else having this problem? Have you found a solution?

iPad 2, iOS 7.0.2, Netflix, NBC apps

Yes I am having this problem exclusively with the NBC app. Have you found a solution?
