I have an English version of OS 10.5 in my MacBook, which I want to upgrade to 10.6 and then to 10.8 (via 10.6.8.). However, I live in France so the Apple store in France has only a French version of 10.6 available. What does it mean? Is the entire OS 10.6 in French or only the installation instructions? I want to keep English as the main language in my MacBook.

I have no reason to believe there is a difference. All OS X releases include identical worldwide localization options.
