Q: I updated my AppleTV to the new software & after renting a movie it will not show up when I go to the movie icon as a rental. When I rent it again I am told I have already rented it & go to Settings then go to downloads. However there is no downloads.

I updated my AppleTV to the new software & after renting a movie it will not show up when I go to the movie icon as a rental. When I rent it again I am told I have already rented it & go to Settings then go to downloads. However there is no download option. Thus I have rented a number of movies I can not watch.

    There seems to be an issues with rentals disappearing after the latest update. What has worked for me, is going into to settings and itunes store > sign out of account and sign back in. The rental has come back for a lot of people after doing that. Hope this helps.

    Same problem, more or less.  If I rent a movie and stop it, have to sign out and sign back in to make the movie reappear.  While this laborious step works, I'd really like to see Apple fix the issue instead.
