Dec 29, 2013 12:07 AM in response to prest86by Michel Goldberg,Thank you very much ! You seem very aware
I will try to « climb » on level 2 (senor advisors) to have more informations, but I suppose they are under seal of secrecy !
Forgive my clumsy english (I am french) !
All the best.

Dec 29, 2013 2:13 AM in response to Michel Goldbergby prest86,Don't worry Michael G.,your English is better than my French! I understand everything you write, no problem.
Ps: if genius or advisor will say that you are the first with this problem don't worry, they are saying the same thing to every one of us. You can show them this discussion and the previous one I posted regarding the iPad air (40 pages of discussion!!!!!!) The problem is common.
Ps: some users have tried ios7.1 beta and reported big improvements...
Keep our finger crossed,
Bye!

Cross our fingers !
I saw "here and there"(on the web) that this problem occured to iOS 6 and previous iOS but for mostly "jailbreakers"
There are some other problems with iOS 7. I'd like to find a website that gathers togeteher all the iOS 7 bugs !
:-)
Have a nice day.

Dec 29, 2013 12:55 PM in response to prest86by Michel Goldberg,Hi,
I noticed that on my preferences/general/utilisation/the elapsed time was marked with a "-".
I think it could be related to a crash that I would not have seen (that would have occured while the phone was unused, in standby ?).
Could it be possibly related ?
Regards.

Dec 29, 2013 1:28 PM in response to Michel Goldbergby jboucher614,That happens when your last charge wasn't a full charge, maybe just to 85% or something. Therefore it can't give you data on time since last "full" charge.

Dec 29, 2013 4:28 PM in response to Michel Goldbergby prest86,No, I think it is not related to springboard crash. The only way to delete usage data is an hard reset or "jboucher614's scenario". I have never heard about crash in standby mode, so don't worry.
"The 64-bit builds of the OS still seem to run into stability issues more frequently than their 32-bit counterparts. I still see low memory errors associated with any crashes. It could just be that the move to 64-bit applications (and associated memory pressure) is putting more stress on iOS’ memory management routines, which in turn exposes some weaknesses. " cited from http://www.anandtech.com/print/7460/apple-ipad-air-review.
In other words: your iPhone is crashing because 1GB of RAM is insufficient for 64bit architecture processor. On the other hand, iOS was architected to run on as little hardware as possible, so I think (hope) that an ios7 improvement could resolve this issue with a more efficient RAM management because 64bit don’t really need all that much more memory. The new processor consumes 30% more RAM than 32bit counterpart, so I think that it can be managed with more efficient management routines.
Something suggest me that next year iDevices will come with an increased memory capacity.
We can only wait iOS 7.1...
Regards.

Dec 29, 2013 11:08 PM in response to prest86by Michel Goldberg,Hi,
And thank you.
"jboucher614's scenario" sounds french for me !
It might be an Xfiles mistery mode bug that is spontaneously solved !
Wait and see.
If you think it is harmless !
PS : you seem to know a lot about iOS : woaw !!!!

Dec 29, 2013 11:12 PM in response to jboucher614by Michel Goldberg,Thank you, but why does it's randomly goes to this state ? Withouts hardbooting the device ? Can it be "dangerous" for device or data's ?
Regards.

Dec 30, 2013 2:31 AM in response to Michel Goldbergby prest86,Hi Michel,
don't worry it isn't dangerous. However if you dont' feel comfortable, do a backup of your data, restore through Itunes the iPhone, and reload the backup.
Bye!

Arghhhl : in fact YOU make me feel confortable if you think it is harmless.
And I'm fed up with restoring stuff
Thank you very much and happy new year (that is soon).

Dec 31, 2013 11:18 AM in response to prest86by JustMy2Cents,I have addressed this to the highest level in Apple Support and still there is no solid answer. I have had every version of the new iphone over the last 5 years and NEVER experienced this crashing problem.
I suspect it might have something to do with the LTE chipset. Just a guess, as I am not a designer of the phone.
POSSIBLE SOLUTION: My crashing has decreased since restricting my iphone 5s to WiFi and turning off cellular data then only using cellular data sparingly when away from WiFi, which I have never had to do before.

Jan 3, 2014 3:25 PM in response to Michel Goldbergby JustMy2Cents,Yet again yesterday the iPhone 5s crashed repeatedly (3 times right after it rebooted with the black screen and Apple logo) on me within an hour of turning on the usage of cellular data. I took screen shots of the incident reports. This is clearly an Apple problem but for some reason they are not admitting to it as it is causing problems for many users.
What if I was dealing with an emergency situation?
I should publish the voicemail message from a Senior Apple representative, you ALL would be shocked to hear what he had to say as to what he is allowed to comment on in writing and how much of these issues are to remain in voice calls only. It only took him six weeks to admit this to me.

Jan 4, 2014 2:30 AM in response to Michel Goldbergby prest86,Hi!
So yes, your device seems to crash in standby mode.... Moreover the lost of informations on "utilization" is due to a soft reboot (spring board crash), I have experienced the same issue on my device some minuets ago. My Air crashed and I checked the utilization info: no more informations were available....
Unfortunately there is not a definitive solotuion for our kind of problems...
