I want to buy a rMBP for someone as a gift. But she would like a one-to-one membership with it. Can I purchase a Mac with my Apple Account and have the one-to-one membership be activated on someone elses? Or is the membership instantly linked to my account?
You'd have to either call your local Apple Store or the toll-free number at the bottom of the page to get an answer from Apple - we're just users here. And I would get at least two confimations concerning the matter - the store might tell you one thing and the online store another!

I was hoping to find someone here who's had experience with buying the one-to-one membership.
I called a Apple Store and they said you just get an activation code that you then have to link to an account. But he didn't know if it was the same online. And the online store's support is closed in the weekend.
So I'll have to wait for that unless someone come along who knows how the process works 🙂
