Q: Unable to order 5s due to PO box in billing address

when I try to order a new 5s online, or over the phone, I get booted from the delivery system because I have a PO BOX as a billing address. My shipping address is my physical address but because I live in a rural area just outside of San Francisco where there is no mail home delivery I have a PO box for all my billing. Any suggestions?

Contact Apple directly 800-MY-APPLE and see what they suggest

I did just that and I could hear the apple representative going through the same online process I did. He came to the same result and said that apple can only send a new phone to the billing address from the carrier. My billing address has both my physical address and a PO box. You would think that the sales department could make occasional exceptions but they could not. I assume apple's policy is to let the server settings be in charge.

I suppose my main concern is this "policy" discriminates against rural customers as they always have PO boxes for billing addresses.

Until I saw your post I thought this was a "new" thing! Six months ago when I ordered an SE it was not a problem to have my billing address with my carrier a PO Box. Today I'm unable to order a 7 because of it. So I'm going to have to say that you're correct in saying that it's a discriminatory policy....especially since it's used selectively.
