Getting Rid Of The Unwanted Audio In The Arrange Window (not audio window)

Hey Guys! i use alot of electronic gear(synth's,sampler's,mpc's etc..) so now im staring to track my music out on seperated tracks into logic. i was wondering if there's a way to get rid of the unused audio in between audio events? for example, say i had a section of audio audio in bar 1 but it doesn't show up again till bar 5, does logic have a function that can clear that audio from the event in bar 1 up to the event agin in bar 5? or do i have to take the scissors and manually CUT OUT the audio. i just didnt want to wants audio and hard-drive space that was not used.
