Two folders for one artist??? Help me please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, im having trouble with my ipod 5G 60 gig. On my itunes, I made every artist the same spelling ( eminem has 5 songs and). But when i put it on my ipod 60gig, it makes two folders of eminem and biggie smalls. The songs are in the same artist folders, but they are distributed by the two folders. ( 3 songs of eminem in one eminem folder and 2 in the other). how can i make it so it's all in one folder on my ipod?

Copy all the songs into one folder, then delete the other one.

what do you mean by put it all in the same folder? I have all my songs in the library and named the songs by the artist the same so it should make the folders itself. but it makes two folders on my ipod. example i go to music>>Artist>> (and some artist i have are)

Eminem, Eminem,Lil jon, Ice Cube, and, fort minor.

How can i make the ipod recognize the two eminem folders and make it in one folder?

In iTunes, select all the songs by one artist.
Right click and select Get Info.
Retype the artist name in the Artist block.
Do this for all artist with more than one artist folder.
Then plug in the iPod to update it.

i have tried that but it hasn 't solved the problem. i also restored my ipod.

Also, now itunes won't recognize my ipod anymore. can any1 help me with this also plz?

ok, i got my ipod to be seen on itunes. but it still has the problem of having 2 folders of one artist in my ipod.

Did you just look and see if they are the same or did you actually select them all at once and retype the name?

You have to make them the same artists in iTunes before they will show up the same on iPod.

I ctrl+ clicked the songs made by the same artist. I typed the name and also checked the box for the artist name. I updated my ipod but its happening the same. There is still 2 folders.

I had that problem once, and it was that at the end of one of the artist there was a space but you couldn't see it but the iPod and iTunes Thought it was a diffrent artist/album/etc..

Sorry chris, i did go alittle fast. ok,first, delete the songs from your ipod. Then, rename the same songs in your library. then update your ipod.
