my MAC won't let me upgrade new software, it says no new software updates?

my MAC won't let me upgrade new software, it says no new software updates but it wont let me download anythng new (i.e. ITUNES) unless i have new software!!!!! HELP?!

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

Wrong. The poster said he has 10.5.8 and as others have said that is as far a Leopard goes. To go higher he has to purchase a Snow Leopard disk and install it . Then he can update further as already discussed.\Also not that only Macs with an Intel processor can go ro Snow Leopard and later
