Q: I get the airplay icon my iphone when the apple TV is on but it does not play music.

I started having this problem after the last Apple TV update.

AppleTV 2, iOS 6, AppleTV 6.0 (6646.65) iphone 7.0.2

Any errors?
Does content on the ATV actually have working audio?

No errors, the iphone just freezes up for a minute when I select AppleTV then it goes back to the iphone selection.

AppleTV audio is fine on all other apps like HuluPlus and Netflix.

Try restarting the ATV.

I did... Also tried restarting Apple TV, iPhone and router. Still no luck.
