Q: Connect Two Airport Extremes to One Cable Modem/Router for One WIFI Network

I understand the concept of connecting an Extreme base station to the cable modem...then connecting a second Extreme via cable to the first Extreme...extending my wireless network.

I have business class cable service in my home so not a classic cable modem but rather a modem/router(?) and two Extremes.

My first question is this: Can I connect two Extremes to the cable modem/router? Pulling cable to the other end of the house and connecting the second Extreme? Thus creating a single wireless network...but two Extremes wired DIRECTLY to the cable modem.

My second question is this: Is there any WIFI speed benefit to doing this?

Any thoughts are appreciated....truly.

Yes, you would have the basis for a "roaming" type network.

The overall bandwidth benefit would exceed that of a traditional extended network where the routers are wirelessly interconnected by not as great with an all wired network.
