How do I install a pasword protected printer on a Mac running 10.8.4?

eaii aiI am tryng to install password protected printers that are on a network. I am hving trouble with this. I am used to intalling printers but not ones tht require a print code that th user inputs when they are going to print a job at the printer. Any help would be great! Thank you.
