My iCal synch does not include iPhone entered events

I am not sure if this error started with OS7 update to iPhone or some other change/new computer (I am using OSX/Mountain Lion on a MacBook Air purchased 6/2013). If I enter an event on iCal on the MacBook it synchs w iphone but not vice versa... I typically enter/edit events on my phone, so my iCal on the MacBook is completely out of date for events starting sometime in the summer. Older events Sprin 2013 and earlier were synched properly... I got a new computer, OS on phone, etc. Not sure how to resolve.
