Q: iphone 4 runs incredibly slow and lags after upgrading to iOS 7 even when half the memory is empty and the background aps are closed and not refreshed. need to downgrade on iOS 6.1.3 please help

my iphone 4 16GB runs very slow after i have upgraded it to iOS 7.
the animations and stuff lag very much and i am irritated using the phone.

i want to downgrade to ios6 but apple does not allow that. what is the solution?

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.2

I have the same problem after installing iOS 7 on my iPhone 4 32GB.
The phone runns very slow, so my workflows are continously interrupted, even by some design missconcepts.
Since then i avoid working with my iPhone 4.
Is this really the intention of Apple?

same problem. typing is absolutley, horrendously slow on an iphone 4 with the ios7 update. why on earth apple sanctioned this update for iphone 4, i have no idea.

Go to Settings>iCloud>Documents and data and turn it OFF.

How is your phone after doing that ?

just been contacted by apple to try going to settings>icloud>documents and data and turn it OFF

THIS HAS WORKED!! thank you apple, you have kept a customer happy. hopefully this will solve your problem too

I tried several times but this did not work for me, even by disabling background updates. i avoid working with my iphone 4.
