Q: Iphone sms separated from the same number....?

Hi guys, i dont know why this happened but my text messages are separated from each other even though it has the same number, why?
Its 2 different threads with the same number which one of the text messages are the one i sent and the other is one i recieved. This happened when i restored my sms to my iphone.

I've looked into it and i also found out that when i open ibackupbot and view my text messages there i found that one of the sms has an + at the beginning like +44 and then the number, and the other just begins like 0044 and this is the same contact/person... can that be the problem?

Otherwise please help!!

    Please help!!

I think that the problem is that one of the texts has the international dialling code and the other does not have. But i'm not sure.

Archive the messages on the computer and then delete them on the phone.

Lastly, are they iMessage or SMS? (iMessage is blue, SMS is green)

Also, I recommend iExplorer over iBackupbot. (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer)

I downloaded iexplorer and found soemthing else, in my iphone the text messages is writen on the same person from those 2 text messages, however when i view my sms from IExplorer i found that those texts i sent still has their name on it, and the phone number is correct. BUT the text i recieved has that international dialling code at the begging of the number (+44), maybe this is the problem?

Use iExplorer to save the messages to your computer

How to restore? Not possible. (save the conversation as PDF and access via dropbox)

Delete the messed up messages, try messaging again. See what happens.

You keep talking about +44 as if it's not native to your region. Where are you from?

The thing is i dont want to remove my texts.. i want them and i need them.

I just wrote a random number, but +44 is from UK.

So you are saying that i am screwed??

So there is no way i can combine the sms so become one???

Delete the text that's messed up. It happens sometimes. Suck it up and move on. Really, there is no known or supported way to merge messages.

That is why I recommended a full SMS archive that way you can delete the broken stuff from the phone and move forward with a clean slate while still having an on-demand reference.

Put them in a PDF in iBooks and you will be able to access all of your old messages. Boom! Case closed.

My last post still applies 100%

That trick with SQLite is very old and it's unknown whether it works in iOS 7.

iExplorer is the most current software I know of for viewing and archiving.

Lastly you can erase your phone completely and start over from scratch (I highly recommend this)
