no wi-fi

I´ve got a MacBook Pro from Late 2008 Version 10.8.5.

Two weeks ago I updated it and the wi-fi stopped working. I went to the apple store and they had to wipe it out as they didn´t know what happenned.

I asked them if I was going to have the same problem if update it. Now I have updated it and no wi-fi again. I´d like to know how I can wipe it out on my own as there is no apple store in my town.

I haven´t got any restore CD

Thanks

Thanks for your message.

Could you please let me know how to do it by steps?

Do I have to do the partition before the boot up? Ho can I do the partition?

I´ve used time machine and got everything in a hard drive.

I think it might be a problem with the latest update. It has always been working fine but there must be a problem between my mac and this update.

Many thanks
