    Hey Olivia280,

Thanks for the question. Instead of tapping the "+", you'll want to select a list and tap a blank line. See the following:

Add a reminder. Tap a list, then tap a blank line. You can choose which of your Mail, Contacts, and Calendars accounts is used to save the reminder.

    Matt,

I get the first part, but what does that line about choosing an account mean? I don't see any option for using a mail account... or the others. Where do I choose, please?

In the Reminders App, tap the first blank line.  Type the reminder name and then tap the "i" to the right of the name.  Go from there.

The '+' in the right corner of your Lists is just to add a new Reminder List.

Within a Reminder's list (e.g. Reminders) go to an empty line, tap it and is should bring up the keyboard for you to type in your Reminder.

Thanks. I do know how to type in a reminder, and I've looked at the little "i".

What I don't understand is the instruction from Apple that says "You can choose which of your Mail, Contacts, and Calendars accounts is used to save the reminder.”

I see no option for choosing. And anyway, what does that mean? Why would I want to save a reminder in a Contacts account?

I think it might be useful if my reminders integrated with my calendar so I don't have to be checking both calendar and reminders... Am I missing something fundamental here?

    tks

Ditto.  I don't know how that's used nor do I see any reference to a 'calendar' when entering a reminder.  I just use the Remiders app as I described.
