uninstall twonky from MAC BOOK PRO ? MAC OS 10.6

Twoky does appear on the desk all the time and I dont need this appl. Furthermore it could possibly disturb other functions. I used permanent eraser but erasing cant be performed : message twonky is open and cannot be erased. Clicing on the the twonky icon does not produce any reaction.

thank you for your assistance . I m having the problem for more then a year
