Hello Stanley,

Thank you for providing details about the issue you are experiencing with the App Store.

The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:

  1. Double-click the Home button.
  2. Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
  3. Swipe the app up to close it.

You can find the full article here:

iOS: Force an app to close

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the App Store, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:

Restarting your device
  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider.
  2. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.

Resetting your device

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If the issue persists, the last thing I recommend is backing up and restoring your iPhone:

If it shows app could not be download at this time. Done or retry. Solution-: This Problem is Caused by Your Wi-fi router(if u use wifi to download apps). If u downloading apps from your wifi router try downloading from another wifi router if it downlads easily, there is definetly problem with your wifi router. you should follow steps below to solve this problem:-

1) Open your wifi router's ip address in browser(if u don't know search on google. Like belkin's iball's)

2)login to your wifi router in browser.

3)open DNS server settings

4)change dns sever address to 8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4(google dns server)

5)u can also use another dns server address like openDNS, etc. (search for best dns sever address on google. If google dns not works)

I had this question too and even Apple support could not help me. After scouring the Net, I came across thisarticle which helped be to understand Apple's reasoning behind the issue.

In short, the reason is proper identification of software licensing--especially those tied with your apple ID. If you want the error to go away, you will simply have to remove the software that was never installed by you. In other words, if you remove all the software that the Apple OS does not require to function, the problem will go away.

Of course, you have to be an Admin on the computer and you have to sign out of itunes, the app store and everything else that requires an apple ID. Short from that you can always wipe the computer clean with OPTION+COMMAND+R turning off the system and holding down those keys as you press the power button on.

Hope someone finds this useful.

Cheers!
