The man, no myth, a legend.
RIP James 'Pondini' Ponds. You will be missed. Condolences to Mr. Ponds family.
I will miss Jim very much. His legacy in pondini.org helped me recover my system after he was gone. I'm emailing his addresses in the hope that family might be reading.
This is such a loss.
Many are working to preserve the legacy of Pondini (his collected works that many rely on). Web-server security-ownership issues are the current block.
I just heard the news about James Pond passing away and would like to add my condolences to his Family.
I benefited from his Advise and Knowledge may times over the years.
Will always associate Time Machine with The Great Pondini.
Going to add my condolences. I loved his resources.
Terribly sad news. Condolences but so glad he had so much to offer so many here and I am sure in his home life. Will be greatly missed.
Pete
Pondini's great page is still up and working. Today I risked again to link to it.

The pondini.org domain expires four days from today. I don't know what will happen after then...
Oh good! It said 2013 until recently.
Perhaps his relatives are now funding it... very nice to have this great resource stick around and carry on his legacy.
Kappy has been in touch with the family. But no decision has been made as to the site, other than the renewal of the Domain.
He went to great lengths to help people he didn't know, including me. He was a rare person. God be with his loved ones.
