11.1 & 11.1.1 unresponsive in Windows

Ever since the update to 11.1 and still after updating to 11.1.1 today my iTunes is outrageously unresponsive and slow within podcasts. Every other click the entire program freezes. I had hoped the update to 11.1.1 would resolve this issue since it's basically unusable. Hopefully there is a fix for this fast because trying to navigate and having it freeze and crash repeatedly is getting annoying. This is happening on my work PC which is Windows XP and also on my personal laptop which is Win 7 64-bit.
