Oct 7, 2013 9:57 PM in response to B Lewisby Allan Jones,There is a magnetic switch on the right edge of the case that is tripped by a magnet in the lid when you close it. The switch controls sleep.
See if it got knocked about when you were inside.

Some people have previously reporting a problem with the tracker pad temperature sensor.
This can make your PowerBook go to sleep the moment it's woken.
If your tracker pad is not working, it could also mean the temperature sensor isn't working either and making it go to sleep. I'd check the ribbon cable. Make sure there is no damage to it from the tracker pad to the logic board.

Could anyone tell me the location of the magnetic switch that controls sleep and/or the trackpad heat sensor in the above photos, please?
