As up to date, what video cards are really compatible with MacPro 1,1?, As up to date, what video cards are really compatible with MacPro 1,1?

The original NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT in my MacPro Original 1,1 just died today, after 6 or 7 years of good performance. It is really confusing trying to find a replacement card which should not be discontinued today. This workstation is still a good computer which I expect to work in for at least a few years more. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.8), Original 1,1

Buy the Apple-firmware 5770, about US$250. It works in every model Mac Pro, and Drivers are in 10.6.5 and later.

Thanks for the link, Grant. I'm not concerned on protected or unprotected movies, have no time to watch either!

I do video trainings for nurses and other workers at a private hospital in Mexico, so if the card works with a licensed Final Cut Studio 2 suite, I will be saved and we won't have to trash this beautiful computer when my second GeForce 7000 GT dies (we got two of those from the beginning and I am using the one left with two monitors)! I am very thankful with you guys for the feedback. Regards!
