Ok, so i am a complete newby to Mac's. I have a 1 TB External Hardrive that has about 180 movies on it. I also have an Apple TV. I would like to copy the movies from one external hard drive to another so that I can give it to my mother for a gift. I am not sure how to do this, can anyone help me?

Thanks for the confirmation - how long did it take you to clone your drive? What was the size of that clone?
There is no restore tab in my DU main window
None of these works for me. I don't get any of those options in the disk utilites window.
I'm not understanding why it is not easier to copy files from one hard drive to another.
Connect both drives to your computer. Select the movies you want to copy from Drive A and drag them over to Drive B.
If you need to clone Drive A to Drive B:
Clone using Restore Option of Disk Utility
1. Open Disk Utility in the Utilities folder.
2. Select the destination volume from the left side list.
3. Click on the Restore tab in the DU main window.
4. Select the destination volume from the left side list and drag
it to the Destination entry field.
5. Select the source volume from the left side list and drag it to
the Source entry field.
6. Double-check you got it right, then click on the Restore button.
Destination means Drive B. Source means Drive A.
I tried this and I got the error that the Source (Drive A) is not valid for restoring. No explanation why that is. Is there anything else I can do to copy these drives?
Not only did it copy one eternal drive to another, but it verified all files!! That's huge. I'm on an iMac running OS X10.9.5 with 4GB of RAM. Thanks
I forgot to mention at the completion of the Restore, you must go to Finder & Rename the Destination drive!!
Will this delete any data on the destination drive?
