i am unable to sync my ipod and getting error 1392. Kindly solve my issue

I am the user of iPod shuffle (2nd generation). I am having some errors in syncing my ipod and updating the songs. it showing error-1392. As soon as i connect my iPod to my system the status of itunes application changes to "not responding".That results in hang of the application.

please help me with this issue.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. I would start with troubleshooting the iPod and putting it through the appropriate generation's troubleshooting here, testing after each step:
