Q: can anyone tell me how I can put OS9.1 onto a G4 Imac without the original disc.

I have purchased a older model G4 iMac with OSX 10.4.11 on it, but there is no OS9 Volume on the hard drive. Can anyone please tell me a way of installing Os9 on to a volume without the original disc.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4.11), No OS9.1

    Not possible without the disks.

If you are in the US call Apple Customer Support 1-800-767-2775, provide the Serial Number and specifications of the Mac, and for a reasonable fee, they will supply a replacement set of system discs (if available).

The discs will be for the original version of the OS that was pre-installed when the Mac was manufactured.
