How do I change default map app to google maps for iphone 5 ios7.0.2

Argh, Please Apple. Let us choose our own defaults.

Story: As a user I want to be able to click on an address link and bring up a map in the application that I have chosen as a default.

I would love the option to make my own decisions as well.

However, I can tell you, having to make your own decisions is highly overrated.

In this case though, for a navigation application, i'd prefer a more polished app with features that'll help me be able to decide a route for myself by viewing/zooming/traffic views than what Apple's late to game inferior app allows. The new Google Maps updates are pretty great in allowing various views, next step, lane previews and zooming in/out to view other routes you can take as opposed to following blindlessly by directions. Which all does boil down to the person you are. The kind that likes to be dictated to follow or the kind that paves your own way. Honestly, i'd go through the extra step of copying the address and pasting it just to use a different navigation app.

If I wasn't on a company iPhone, i'd jailbreak it to have that control. 😟

You obviously don't want Google Maps as your default. You just don't know where you are at this point, because you're on the wrong thread. Did Apple Maps direct you here? Cause that'll be understandable. 😁

Shoot. I kept using Apple's defaulted Map application and it took me here. Can you help me figure out how to default the Map application on my iPhone? I see your as lost as I am looking for a solution is this thread as well. Us iPhone users can be lost together! Yay.
