Macbook Air Battery Problems

Hi all,

My Macbook air 2011 model hasn't been taking any charge lately. In system preferences, it says my computer has 0% but it is still running?

My fan is making some really loud noises, I'm getting very worried.

I looked at my battery info and well.. this

Battery Information:

Charge Information:

Charge Remaining (mAh): 0

Fully Charged: No

Charging: No

Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 0

Health Information:

Cycle Count: 0

Battery Installed: No

Amperage (mA): 0

Voltage (mV): 0

What is going on with my laptop? I'm really worried because I start school next week and will need it to work. Thanks

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8)

You can try your School or Apple. I'm not sure the school will do anything for you, but you can always check with them. Otherwise you could just go straight to Apple, I'm sure they will still help you out. If the computer is still under warranty that is all your school would be able to do for you anyway is go through Apple and have them do a warranty repair. If it is under warranty still, the Apple should probably take care of it for you, however, if it is out of warranty then you are going to have to eat the cost of the battery.
