CSR creation for wildcard certificate

On 10.8 Servers using the Server.app, I am not able to generate a CSR for *.mydomain.com to be used with CheapSSL to generate certificants.

So shoud I just use OpenSSL as:

openssl genrsa -out domainname.key 2048

openssl req -new -key domainname.key -out domainname.csr

Common Name = *.mydomain.com

Do I select Appach 2, Apache + OpenSSL, or.. for the Server type?

Then where do I install the CSR and the cert

TIA,

Tom
