Esportation problem

Hi,

I can't seem to export any file type. Any attempt to export I get an error message indicating the failure to file export! What should I do, give me some idea on what kind of problem I pursued.

Thank you

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5)

Is it only exporting that does not work, or can you also not edit the image?

Are you always trying to export to the same folder? Have you checked, if you are having write permissions to that folder or drive? Do yo have enough free disk space?

And can you export when you create a new library for testing and try to export from that test library?

Sorry, Manero,

today it is really hard to see any answers in this forum. Your answer from this morning was hidden until now, when you posted again.

I recently added the plug-in of HYDRA and noiseware and another, might be those???.

I am not sure about the compatibility of your new plug-ins. All documentation for HYDRA I could find is from 2009 and 2010, and does not mention any compatibility with Mt. LIon and Aperture 3.4.3. Noiseware plug-in has compatible versions.

And sure I can write on both the internal drive on my external storage drive.

Is yourexternal drive formatted for Mac? MacOS X Extended Journaled?

No it is in Windows formated But

I use TUXERA interfacce, for connetction to my mac.

But this configuration it is ok for long time.

Can i delete plug-ins from aperture And try to exported version !!!???

Thanks for your time !

Did exporting to that drive work, before you installed the plug-ins?

To uninstall them, look first at the installers you downloaded to install them. If the Installer disk imange contains an uninstaller, use that to remove the plug-ins.

if there is no uninstaller provided, open the folder

/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/

(go to your MAcintosh HD, select the folder "Library" , then "Application Support", then "Plug-Ins").

Look for your plug-ins in the subfolders "Edit" and "Export".

Quit Aperture, if it is running.

Remove your newly installed plug-ins to a folder on your Desktop.

Reboot your system and try again to export.

all plug in are removed

one for time

and never are change!

the same error messagge appear when a can try to export version.

all are how you indicated, but my hd drive folder is not named HD machintos but LW.

why? this is a problem ??

thanks

the name of your hard drive shuld not make a difference.

We need to narrow down the problem, to see if you are having a system wide problem, if your user account has wrong settings, or your curent Aperture library is faulty.

Have you tried to create a new library, as I suggested? If you can export from a new library, your current library needs fixing. To create a new Aperture library use the command "File > Switch to Library > Other/new" . Then import a few images and try to export. Does that work?

niente da fare !

creata una nuova libreria vuota!

importate tre foto

e provato ad esportare !

appare il solito messaggio di errore !

mi vien da piangere!

Mi dispiace! non disperate!

Now we know, that you cannot even export from a new Aperture library.

And we need to check, if your user account settings are faulty. Log into the "Guest" account and try to export from a different user account. The Guest account can be enabled from the Users&Groups System preferences.

If exporting will work in a differnet user account, we will know, that your current user account has problems. If it does not work, we will know, that your problem is system wide and you will have to reinstall Aperture or your system, or you cannot use your Tuxera drive with Aperture export.

I created a new administrator user. open apertures, and imported an original photo. I tried to export a version and now it works!

wow !

That is good. Now we know, tat your old user account probably has problems.

You can either try to fix your old account by removn g prferences and presets, or start working in the new account.

how do I import all the photos and their metadata?? with the names and rankings that I had before? I have over 10,000 photos in your library!

For a start, try to open your main Aperture Library on your external drive from your new administrator account. Does your TUXERA interface allow to set the "Ignore Ownership" flag?

If you open the "Info" panel for your external drive in the Finder with "File > Get Info", and then disclose "SHaring & Permissions" brick, you should see something like this. Unlock it by pressing the padlock icon, and if the "ignore Ownership" flag is available, set it.

Then double click the Aperture library to open it.
