more specifics needed, does it show up in disk utility?

what HD is it?

Is it USB HD?

Does it not mount on other USB ports?

Does it mount on on Mac and not another.....?

restart while holding the Alt(=option) kex: choose the Recovery disk, then start DiskUtility, "repair disk".
