User adds event to shared iCloud calendar, other user gets message that event was deleted???

Whenever my wife adds an event to our shared calendar, I get a notification (as I should). However, the notification always says "such and such event deleted from calendar". And when I go into the calendar and the specific date, the event is there and all is well? Is there a fix for this?
