Nov 16, 2013 2:49 PM in response to golfcoach54by Neptungrll,I have the same exact problem. I have tried the Time Warner website directions and deleted/re did the account and it stills states password incorrect. It *****! Roadrunner email *****. I am trying to change everything over to a friendlier email that will delete messages across all devices. Did you ever get this resolved? I just bought an iPhone 5s and it is not allowing this email account.

Jan 21, 2014 11:55 AM in response to golfcoach54by AnnBat,I have the same exact problem! I'm so happy I'm paying an arm and a leg for email service on my iPhone 5s and can't use it due to this ongoing issue.
Any suggestions or do I have to waste the rest of my day on Apple support call?

Jan 21, 2014 12:05 PM in response to AnnBatby ChrisJ4203,If you have the exact problem, then I'm guessing that you have RoadRunner? The sending of mail is handled by the SMTP server of the provider. Check your settings for the SMTP server on your phone. What error message do you see when you attempt to send mail?

Jan 21, 2014 12:30 PM in response to AnnBatby ChrisJ4203,Comcast can be interesting sometimes. They have been my provider, and have had some issues, especially when they changed the port number they use for mobile devices. They have a support page specifically for the iPhone settings, but you may want to delete the account from the iPhone and re-enter it, making sure to enter the username and password everywhere it asks for it, even where it says optional. See this picture for SMTP settings for Comcast.

Feb 4, 2014 8:43 AM in response to golfcoach54by KennyCz,Same problem. Spent hours with Time Warner unsuccessfully. They finally referred me to Apple, who said it's a Time Warner problem. Very frustrating!

Feb 4, 2014 8:56 AM in response to KennyCzby ChrisJ4203,What did you do as far as troubleshooting, either yourself or with Time Warner? What part of mail is not working, sending, receiving, or both? Did you try anything from this thread, or just add your comment?

Feb 4, 2014 9:02 AM in response to KennyCzby ChrisJ4203,Is it sending, receiving or both? What do you see if you try to use mail? When you add the account to the phone, does it verify?
