Q: Can't send email on iphone 5

I can not send email from my I phone 5 since I upgraded to iOS 7.02. I have a road runner account. (pop) I have shut down the phone and deleted the mail account then reinstalled 3 different times.  I still get an error message stating the password to my email account is wrong.   I know password is correct. I went to my serivice provider 3 different times and changed the password. I have done everything that is recommended on the apple site still no luck.  Ready to throw the phone out the window.  any suggestions?

    Dear All

I was having the same problem with my iphone 5C. It started when I changed my password on my Outlook.com e-mail address (my e-mail address is an old one and it is as hotmail.com). I deleted the account on my iphone and put it back in again... God knows how many times. Then  tried to change servers as per messages below... no success. Then I have just deleted and added it again choosing Outlook.com option (I have the impression that I did it before and it didn't work... but hey!) and now it is working. It did not download yet all my previous messages and it seems it is not going to. I have just sent a test email and it ent... I guess it is all ok now.

I know you posted this problem quite a while ago but I am having the same trouble with my iphone 5 and it is driving me to distraction.  My internet provider does not want to know either and I have even had a computer technician have a look at the phone and he can't solve it either.  Did you ever get this resolved?

If you want help, it's better to start a new thread with all the info you can give and the troubleshooting you've made.

It is not effective to post on a nearly 3 years old thread.
