Q: unable to see nikon d90 device when uploading photos.  Will no longer transfer.  It did 2 weeks ago, but not now

When I connect Nikon w/ cable to Mac, usually Iphoto opens, device is seen, and I import photos.  And yes, I have the camera on.  As of the last 2 weeks, device does not show up and photos don't import.  Please help

    1. Open iPhoto > go to iPhoto Preferences > General and make sure that "Connecting camera opens: iPhoto"

    3. If your camera and/or other devices are not detected by your iMac at all, then you may have a bad cord or some how tripped the USB overloads. To remedy the problem, disconnect all external devices and reset the iMac's SMC. as per > Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

    1. Shut down the computer.

    2. Unplug the computer's power cord.

    3. Wait fifteen seconds.

    4. Attach the computer's power cord.

    5. Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.

Then reconnect your Camera and other devices one at a time testing each one.
