Viber cannot add and connect contacts

Viber does not display all my contacts that have Viber. When I try to add a contact and call, the following message is displayed:


This contact does not yet have Viber. Press "Continue" to place a regular call through your carries. To place a free Viber call, this contact mest also have Viber installed.


The thing is I know that the contacts I try to call have Viber installed for sure.

iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.4

The Viber technical support might be a better resource for help with this issue.

The source of this issue could greatly vary. Please read this short page in our HelpDesk, outlining some possible workarounds that will help reboot synchronization of the contact list: http://bit.ly/rRtPqk

(The instructions refer to iPhone, but are relevant to all phones nevertheless).
