what is other??
When you go to about this mac/info/storage and has the bar graph, mine has 100 gb of other? what is "other" and how do get rid of it? running out of space?

You do not want to get rid of it.
If you are constrained for space on your internal drive, download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper (free). It will show all of your files and the respective sizes. Delete or transfer files to an external HDD those you do not want on your internal drive.
