iPad 3 crashing multiple times daily after IOS7

Since I updated my iPad (3rd generation) to ios7 I'm having multiple crashes daily. Usually 2-3 depending on usage.

What exactly happens is that the screen goes black and shows the apple logo for a few seconds before switching to the lock screen. I looked into the diagnostics and I see LowMemory listings for those exact points in time.

The issue happens at completely random times and doesn't seem to be connected to any particular app.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Any idea what to do about it?

Hope you can help, as it's getting on my nerves.

If your iPad is restarting unexpectedly after upgrading to iOS 7, I'd suggest backing up and restoring it. See this article for the steps:

I'm having the same problem except mine seems to be directly linked to using the Netflix App. The video will play for about 3-5 mins and then it resets. I have tried restoring it already.

I have the same problem. At least twice a day. And even if I limit the number of open apps it still happens.

Not impressed. I was considering the new iPad Air but read in this forum it has the same issues with low memory.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately your advice didn't help and I am still having spontaneous restarts out of the blue several times a day.

Any other advice?

I am having BIG issues with crashes and reverting back to homepage, but not with restarts.

Next time it happens, go to SETTINGS/GENERAL/ABOUT and check to see it there is a "low memory" incident report.

If there is:

See the discussion thread "iPad Air Low Memory Crashes".

Seems to be common....this could turn into a HUGH issue.

I'm facing the same problem- low memory crashes. Is there any solution? Most often it happens when i switch between apps

I found a solution that almost completely solved my problem. After I disabled the live or dynamic backgrounds or whatever they are called, I hardly ever experience these crashes any longer.

I've recently been having a lot of trouble with my iPad 3 Running iOS 8 (not sure when the issues started though) it would just freeze and then eventually restart

However i found that disabling the automatic app updates helped my ipad from crashing i also turned off the parallax effect using the reduce motion in accessibility.

Seriously considering an iPad Air 3 when it arrives later this year.
