My iPad screen has developed a vertical line down the middle for some reason. I have tried turning it off and resetting it, but the line still appears. Does anyone know what causes this or how it could be rectified?

If you're noticing lines or distortion on your iPad screen, I would suggest completing step 4 (update iPad) and 5 (restore iPad) in our iPad assistant:
