Game Center blank white screen - can't play games

I need help. I cannot play my games anymore because there is something wrong with Game Center.

This is what I get when I open Game Center.

This is my Game Center settings screen.

(spinning forever)

I cannot reinstall GC because it's a native iOS app. I've tried closing the app itself, along with the Settings app and restarting my iPhone several times, no dice.

Any advice?

iPhone 4S, iOS 7.0.2

Well....it's fixed!

All you need to do is strip naked, go outside, hold your affected device above your head and spin around six times chanting "Apple is god".

Then throw your device on a pile of five day old grass clippings, set fire to the pile, face due north, hop on one leg holding your left arm out at a 90 degree angle and your right arm resting on your hip and this time chant "I'm a little tea pot short and stout. Here is my handle. Here is my spout."

By this time two men in white uniforms should arrive and take you away and you will no longer get affected by the Game Center bug.

In all seriousness this bug is getting worse. Every day Game Center is not working for me and every day I have to do the Airplane Method, sometimes two or three times to get it to work, and then it only remains working for a short time.

Apple seems to have no interest in fixing it as people have been posting in all sorts of forums about the problem for years.

I have decided that I will simply no longer purchase any games, or games with iap's that require Game Center to work.

It seems to be the only sure way to be rid of the problem.

Bad luck for developers though.

Absolutely pathetic service from Apple.

It's not important which device you use - to open and Play with Game Center you have to keep the data amount of games (ONLY GAMES!) of your backup minimal. On each device you want to Play with the Game Center you should activate the backup option. Many users reported problems, if it isn't enabled.

You should try it that way.

If it is not working on your iPhone, then there are 2 possible ways now to find out:

1. Is your iPhone an older Version than your iPad Air or can the iPad store more GB? (example: iPhone 16 GB - iPad 64 GB)

2. Delete all games in the stored backup you don't play anymore on your iPad Air. It would be better to activate the backup Option on your phone. The Problem can be that you haven't it enabled.

Do the following:

Log in with your Apple ID in the iCloud Settings. Now look in the Memory of your cloud which data are already are uploaded. Select and delete all games you don't Play (see the Picture above) and after that make a new backup to update the storage of your cloud. Restart your device.

It is very important to make a new backup. Without it your iCloud won't update and it won't remove your old games, which are should be deleted.

Note: If you can disable Photo storage, or WhatsApp or whatsoever you will help the Speed of opening GC.

So, is this it? Are we seeing the begining of the end of Apple's famous quality standard?

It only took few years after the death of Steve Jobs, but since then, Apple's product hardware and software quality standard is gradually and steadily going down.

I have waited and patiently read all the "how to" guides to fix this game center issue, since it appeared after 9.0. I observed hundreds of posts get shut down and ignored by Apple support and have yet to see a single response from Apple support team, where they dont give the clients the usual bullcrap runaround, or blaming their devise being old and what not. I really hoped the last update had a fix, but now I am certain that they dont give a crap.

Id like to just say shame on you apple support. As a loyal customer of 12 years Im truly disapointed that it only took a death of one of the leaders in your company, for its customer support to gradually become a on par with Time Warner Cables crappy service. For people not in US, TWC is one of the crappiest cable providers that has garbage of customer service and doesnt really care about changing it.

It's not the Software I'm disappointed - it's the support and the way Apple is ignoring endusers. I opened a ticket and they are not willing to analyze crash logs. So they active hide well known issues. Still waiting for answer for my open ticket (1080365466) maybe all others having the same problem should attach to it and post it here to make transparent whats going on
