Podcasts with iOS7

With the upgrade to iOS 7, I am forced to use podcast app.

Podcast will not not sync with my iTunes library.

Podcast is inconsistent in its ability to update.

Podcast eats battery life.

Podcast is inconsistent about downloading while on my home network, forcing me to use data time.

What goofball at Apple changed the music app to force us to use the podcast app.
