Hello,
I am getting Error 1 During IOS 7 Update both in Recovery Mode and DFU Mode.
It looks like it finishes up about 60% bar on the IPad, but at the "verifying firmware" stage, Error 1 will happend.
Please let mek now know if you have any solution to get this problem solved.

he only way to restore your Ipad 2 is to open your Ipad and remove the LCD screen then you have to remove the volume control doughterboard connectore cable from the logic board (you can see this in youtube how to open your Ipad). Then connect your ipad to PC and make restore through Itunes it will take 5 minuts maxiumum.
For sure 100 percent it will work! fix every thing back and restart your ipad. This is the only way to get your ipad working again.
After that when it is working let me know if you want to know why this problem occured?

well..it is out of my possession for 6 months..i let it go on ebay.
Selling a product that cannot work will not sale on ebay unless you sell it for parts
Done that. didn't work for me, disconnected the volume / camera cable from logicboard, connected ipad to pc, attempted restore through itunes. any other ideas?
This thread is from last year. If you did follow the instructions listed to open the iPad and disconnect cables, you voided any support from Apple or from here since an iPad should only be serviced by an authorized technition. Those instructions should never be followed.
